Comments:
My first time in the CQ WW DX CW contest running with the big dogs, and my first
time running Assisted. Rather than try to maximize my score to rise from 1830th
place to 1809th place, I used the Assistance mostly to seek out new DXCC QSLs.
Conditions didn't seem too good much of the time. I had a hard time on 20m and
40m--lots of QRN on 40m, and SWR issues with the KXPA100 amp on 20m--so 15m was
my money band. Near the end, conditions seemed to worsen, so I just scoured the
bands for the easier JA and VE QSOs, but there were a lot of crazy pileups for
some of the JAs, while other JAs a few kHz away were CQing away. After ARRL SS
CW and CQ WW DX CW in the same month, I think my aching brain and ears could use
some rest with some digital contests for the next couple of months. Thanks for
the QSOs! 73 de AI6DO
