Comments:
A massive strategy mistake, whereby I stayed in multiplier-chasing mode too long
Saturday morning, doomed my chances for a competitive run, so Sunday was a day
for sleeping in, playing radio and running errands.
Sunday evening, just before the contest ended, was too exciting. A few needed
multipliers suddenly appeared, but the band started tanking just a bit too
early to give me a shot at BG9XD (Zone 23), and HS0ZAR and XV2D(Zone 26). I
chased after both for quite awhile, but every 100 mobile in California was
louder than me to those stations, so I wasn't able to work them, thus missing a
sweep of the zones. Also on at the end was 9M2YAA, who I was also unable to
raise. I was able to work V73NS for a needed country so at least the very end
of the contest was a little productive.
