Comments:
Congratulations to all of the multi-multi teams around the world
and especially the PVRC operators at W3LPL who make this such an
enjoyable and challenging competition.
This year the W3LPL team was blessed with very favorable propagation
to Europe, fortunately the station and team were well prepared to
capitalize on our good fortune.
Many people in addition to our talented and motivated PVRC operators
make our success possible. These are just a few of those who make
major contributions every year:
Especially my wife Phyllis who always supports our efforts despite
months of intensive preparations every Autumn and helps with final
pre-contest preparations
Our antenna crew -- especially K3AJ, W3UR and W3KX -- who worked
very hard to replace two rotators at 200 feet, installed three new
K3LR stacked 6 element 15 meter OWA Yagis, rehabilitated my 80 meter
quads and reinstalled my receiving antennas on a borrowed farm field
300 meters south of my transmitting antennas
My neighbor Steve Boeh who allows me to borrow his farm field every
year to temporarily install 36 short verticals for phased receiving
arrays covering every band from 160 through 10 meters and three
580 foot Beverage antennas.
My neighbor W3UR who hosts my 160 meter transmitting 4-square with
four phased 38 meter verticals on his land.
K3LR and W8WWV for designing Tim's exceptionally high performance
20, 15 and 10 meter OWA Yagis on 15 meter booms and sharing all
of their design details with me.
N4ZR and the Reverse Beacon Network team, the many stations who host
CW Skimmers around the world connected to the RBN, and VE3NEA who
made it all possible with his game changing CW Skimmer software.
KD4D who performs all of the computer related hardware and software
installation and maintenance at W3LPL, an intensive task involving
fourteen networked computers running Win-Test, Skimmer Server and
AR-Cluster. We had absolutely no computer hardware, software or
network problems during the entire contest period.
W9PA who installed and maintains my AR-Cluster software.
The Win-Test team who developed and maintain the most reliable and
robust logging software in the world for intensive multi-multi DX
Contest operations. We had not even the slightest software glitch
during the entire contest period.
