Comments:
Since I had a little time after midnight Saturday night I ran down to the
station for a bit of fun, and it WAS fun. I was amazed how many stations could
hear my 5 Watts, and I could even hear some DX! I have no low noise antennas
(unless you call the 500' sort-of horizontal loop "quiet", which it
often isn't) so I had to listen hard through the QRN, but it was indeed
"the magic band" (and I probably hit it at the right time).
I hope to get a bit more time into the 10m contest next weekend, but the wife
will be in the hospital after major spine surgery Thursday, so ... I hope to
put you in the log.
