Comments:

I just moved to CT from CA a month ago, so this was my first time doing this
contest in CT. I had made a fan dipole for 10 and 15, but switched to using a
Buddipole and 100W as I did in California. The fan dipole is up 45 ft, and it
worked well, but on Friday I put up the Buddipole (up 25') pointing into the
Caribbean since the fan dipole is pointing towards Europe. Turns out the
Buddipole was out performing it by 2-3 DB. So I went back to using it and just
hand rotated it.

Last year in CA (in an HOA I scored about 12,000 points, this year 83,000
points. But I never heard a K9 and the only K4 I worked was in FL. Only W3s
were in PA, and never heard VT or NH. Had a lot of CA, OR and WA, 2 in
Australia. But There were times I was going to toss it in.
