Oh what a difference a year makes!!
With the beautiful weather predicted and a bunch of contests already under my
belt this season, this was a weekend spend doing other things than radio...most
of the time.
Got on Sunday afternoon just after 1:00pm...it was the USA and South America
QSO party. Rates on CW were slow and steady, the 1 hour rate on SSB was FUN.
The second hour, at sunset, was slow.
Funny QSOs back to back...called by a BOOMING K2RD, followed immediately by
W2RD. Wasn't sure what was going on at first!
Took a break to work a few JAs and one HL longpath on 40 meters. That is a
great path at this time of year...and SWLed 7J4AAL who was sounding great on
3.804 but wasn't hearing the folks calling him.
Ended the event by working W4ML (W4MYA).
Great time of year for radio!
