Comments:
DAY1
The band opened almost one hour after the contest started, with a strong
signal of HK1MW;
the first 4 hours spent doing S&P -trying to capture some Europeans heard.
The rest of the day produced some stateside volume; around 2240
some JA stations present;I swept the band before the band closed - 2hours
earlier than last year,
working all the ZL and VKs heard.
Halfway thru the score was almost 50% down: 695 Q's 147 mults and 364,854pts
DAY2
The band opened until 1330z.
No early EU statiosn heard; on the other hand, it was nice to work 5R8SV and
several
ZS stations; first EU station was EA4TX, strange because on recent past years
they were the last to be heard; a mix of S&P and runnig yielded some volume
and
managed to work WAS (mixed) but the low SFI impacted by 40% the amount of DXCC
multpliers versus last year.
Minutes before the test ended -the band slightly opened to AS and OC that
allowed me to work NH2DX and
a dozen of JA's at noise level.
One the strange things that I noticed tis year is that
Minessota got the most stateside contacts, go figure!
The final score is almost 40% down than last year
