Comments:

I always feel like I don't spend enough time searching for mults on 10 meters in
NAQP so this time I started SO2R with both radios on 10. I chose a run
frequency very low in the band, 28020, so that I could S&P on 10 with the
other radio. With the high run rates the S&P was very slow so I didn't get
the second radio to 15 until 80 minutes into the contest.

Dual CQing on 15 and 10 gave a much higher rate, with a best 60-minute rate of
177 and best 10-minute rate of 228. I dual-CQed about half of my operating
time and did conventional run/S&P SO2R the other half.

I had frequent problems with the K3s locking up with ERR_KEY, requiring a power
cycle to be able to transmit again. My apologies to those who had to wait for
my late response when this happened, usually when I needed to send TU.

For me the memorable moments of most contests are the ones that got away.

While running on 20 I heard a weak station calling and didn't get the callsign
while working someone on the second radio. Then he called again and I realized
it was VY1AAA. It took a second or two to get in the right window and type in
the callsign to respond but he never came back. When I was called by VE4EA
later on 80 something similar happened.

Thanks for all the Qs.

73,
-Mike, N7MH
