Comments:

We have neither the antennas nor the stamina
to do a serious 'all band' contest.

Instead of working at it,
we played with antennas and
logged the easy ones.

Heard an 'HI' station several times
but never an opportunity to answer
his call.

Came across W3LPL and the 'HI" was
trying to get his attention.
LPL"s practice of listening after
each 'cq' seemed to offer plenty
of time for me to jump in and
log the "HI" without creating
any confusion.

So, Ah jumps right in,
tripped over a chair,
knocked over a lamp,
and stepped on a cat's tail
before I managed to get
the "HI" in my log.
The W3LPL operator was COOL,
like he was used to someone
dragging tin cans through
his living room while he
trying to work a contest.

The 'REAL' WD5R will be doing
the 160 ssb next weekend.
Wish her 'happy birthday' .
She is 78 this week!!!
