Comments:
This year's effort in the M/S LP category had us come very close to the
previous World Record. That was our goal, but we fell short.
There is a modest station at our QTH on Saba, but almost all antennas must be
erected before the contest and are taken down prior to our departure. For that
reason it is necessary to arrive early and stay longer than a
"walk-in" shack.
The antenna situation continues to evolve with improvements being made each
year. We now feel comfortable that we have a 160m and 80 m antennas that play
well, even barefoot. The 3 el tribander (A3) works well as it is overlooking
the sea. Our weakness is 40m and we have developed a plan to improve the
situation there. We enjoyed the competition and it was lots of fun working with
our team of G3SXW, GM3YTS, W6IZT, NM1Y and myself.
Lots of laughs before, during and after the contest. CU again next year!
