Comments:
A long slow contest, but great for SO2R practice! New station automation
performed well, just a few little glitches to clean up. Also, the new Expert
1.3K did a good job (although it does fold back some without the ATU)on the
"second" radio.
Conditions were pretty poor, especially on the higher bands. A strange
occurrence this morning, both 20 & 40 CW were starting to open from 0900 to
1100, but by 1105, they were almost dead! It was like the signals went into
"never-never land". The EUs & JAs didn't start coming back 'til
almost contest end.
Oh, and the fancy Logitech ball mouse left click button (yes, the one you use
all the time to select anything) on my main station computer, started hanging
up about midway thru the contest...so have a spare handy!
Thanks to everyone for all the Q's and especially those non-contesters who
chipped in on the Phone contacts!
Sam
