Comments:

Difficult conditions - only about two hours with runnable propagation to EU.
There were a couple more frustrating hours when EU was reasonably strong, but I
couldn't get their attention (with monobanders+1.5KW). Only a couple EU were
heard on 15 and 40m. Still, I cherish any opportunity to operate SOAB from
Alex's great station. Thanks to him, Kimo KH7U, and Tracy who all helped so I
could operate.

In my sleep deprived state at the end of the contest, I imagined that this
event was being hosted at a football (soccer) stadium. The Europeans got to
sit in the stadium, jam packed with activity, with the UAs on the pitch and
Z15/Z21 stations having the best seats right next to the field. The East Coast
NA stations weren't allowed in the stadium, but they got to watch some of the
action from just outside the entrance. The W6/7 boys were stuck at the far end
of the parking lot. They couldn't see the action but could tell that something
exciting was happening in the distance. Then there were the Oceania stations -
we all got directions to the wrong stadium, on the opposite side of town. When
we got there, we found the stadium locked with the lights out.

73, Dave
