OK, more fun than strangling deranged bulls today! Y'all really know how to
throw a pahty!
ATTENTION! I did notice that my cross-town rival, Joe Moffatt, AB5OR, was
operating this morning. Now, listen folks....y'all are just gonna HAVE to help
me here. When you tune across and hear him calling CQ, just develop muscle
memory so that you reach up and give your rcvr VFO a good twist and move right
on past him. He is waaaay more competition than I can stand! I know that he
has a Cadillac radio and setup, while mine is a used Studebaker. But, y'all
need to know that I'm one of the Mississippi rednecks who can't afford to use
anything until somebody throws a piece of electronics into a trash heap, then I
got get it, connect a wire antenna to it, and start sending--with total
disregard to that pesky thing called SWR. And, if I don't get any responses, I
always blame it on either poor propagation or some bothersome DXpedition that's
robbing my contacts.
Now, I DO want to issue a welcome to the new non-members I heard this morning,
as well as Craig, W2VM, one of our faithful CWA members. We have a very bright
future, my friends, as these non-members hone their skills, participate in our
CWT outings, and then get the requisite nominations and sponsorships so that we
get to enter their number into our logs.
OK, enough of my babbling. Y'all have a grand day today, PLEASE!
73,
