First time out in the 222MHz sprint so had no idea what to expect on this band
while I had some general understanding from the 2m sprint from the prior week.
Regret most making no contact with anyone in FN21 which I was very close to for
the entire duration of the sprint and even operated within FN21. The one
station I knew that was trying to operate in FN21 appeared to have an antenna
issue and I was not able to copy him despite his copying me.
Picked up a couple stations on FM including one who answered with FM in
response to my CQ on SSB. At first I thought he was horribly distorted, just
enough to know he was calling me but thru the distortion I heard him saying FM
so switched and made the easy contact at that point.
