Comments:
This was a different WPX CW contest from home QTH.
I was monitoring the 20 meter condition several times a day from Tuesday
onwards.
It looked better and better day by day until Friday when the count down began.
Target was the 2014 OH-record on 20 which is not quite on the international or
European level but the best achieved from 60 deg North.
Since our night at the end is hardly 5 hours long there is no point to try
compete in AB class with the stations further South having several hours longer
night and propagation on the double point bands.
It was seen already before the contest had started that there is no change to
achieve even the 2014 score level. I worked the first 115 hours and 1300 QSOs.
On the second day most of time was spent in listening to OH0V, CR2X, CU4DX and
CS2C QSO count developing. Well done guys.
Home station is is working fine but it not a real contest set up.
It was a pleasure to be there again. Congratulaions to the winners and see you
all agin in next contests.
Pertti, OH2PM
