Comments:
As everyone has mentioned, conditions were pretty tough!
EU was painfully tough except for 20m at their sunrise for a little while.
20m never opened to Asia like I was hoping either, but luckily lots of W's to
fill the log. Tons and tons of easy mults never made it into the log. I think
the only Africa worked was EA8!
The noise on 40m and 80m was really awful. I can't remember a contest where it
was this bad. Using the RX antenna helped a little, but not enough. The noise
kicked up again the last hour to where I had lots of callers on both bands but
I couldn't pull anyone out. I decided to throw in the towel at 1100z because
it just wasn't worth the headache. Sorry to everyone that got the ol' "CQ
in face" this weekend!
The station worked well, and I'm getting used to the nuances and limitations of
operating SO2R as currently configured.
I estimate a few hundred Q's were left on the table, not including the last
hour.
Great fun as always! No WRTC sites worked.
Don't forget NAQP CW on August 6th!
