This year ended up being a bit of a grind, but I still had a great time. 20 was
up and down, but when it was up it was excellent. 40 was pretty good the entire
time. 80 pretty much sucked the entire contest.
I need better antennas. I'm still using a homebrew vertical for 80-10 as well
as a second end fed half wave vertical for 20. I had quite a bit of contacts
to Russia in the middle of the day on 20 that sounded like they were next door,
but there were times I could just barely pull stations in Florida out of the
mud. Strange conditions.
Next year I plan to build a 20M moxon and hopefully I'll have it up in the air
in time for the next QSO party. Anything more than that and I'll have to buy a
new house - which is a definite possibility.
