Comments:
Tested out a new QRP rig and paddles today that I bought at Shelby and
inadvertently found myself in the middle of the Tennessee QP! Once I figured
out what QSO party I was in,(I thought at first it was Texas) I decided to try
and make a few Q's. Not used to not having a computer to log with so things
went a little slow. I was delighted though when I started making contacts with
just a rig, pen, and paper. I did not hear any fellow Swamp Foxes this time and
was surprised that I did not run into WN4AFP as 40 meters is his back yard. Even
though I did not make very many Q's, I had a really good time trying to bust the
pileups with just 5 watts and a piece of wire.
Rig: Ten Tec R4020
Tuner: HB End fed
Power: 5 Watts
Ant: End fed wire at 15 feet
