Comments:
Managed 9.5 hours -- most of them painfully slow. The new station (see it at
va7st.ca) plays really well and makes operating a pleasure, but conditions on
the short haul to W6 were not good from VE7 for most of the time.
Still, made 11 Qs on 15M, which is more than the zero made last year. And 20M
was strong both afternoons, despite working all I could hear and then sitting
out an hour or two to wait for more to appear.
Third-best ever for me, and second-best low-power attempt.
For the annual missed list: BUTT, GLEN, HUMB, MEND, MERC, SISK. Heard SISK and
HUMB on Saturday but far too weak to work. Oheroftn-rare counties like TRIN,
TULA, TUOL, YOLO and YUBA were heard relatively often and kudos wto those who
get on the air from the toughest counties.
