Comments:
Let the discussions start about a level playing field....
Even during the last solar minimum, I could always count on a brief opening to
Europ and Asia on 20m. Sunday afternoon there as a 10 minute period where I
could work some top tier European stations. Saturday night I worked a couple JA
stations by pointing due north which is of 45 degrees from the normal path.
Nothing but space noise on 15m when aiming north. Hear a couple top Eu stations
on 15m when aiming 70-80 south of normal but they weren't workable.
Propagation south was generally OK and I was surprised with the amount of 10m
QSO's made. All tho Zones 6-13.
This turned into a sweepstakes warmup more the CQWW.Spent the first day
unassisted but the DX was not coming to me so I gave in and went assisted the
second day. Got some mults I likely would not have otherwise.
I wonder if there is a record for the lowest points / QSO value. This may be in
the running.
Lets hope the rest of contest month only improves.
