Comments:
Operated the first 4 hours of SS from W4YY remotely in VA. After that, I
realized why I never liked operating SS when I lived on the east coast.
It was a beautiful 70 degree day in Denver, so early Sunday afternoon, I drove
into the foothills and went hiking with my daughter for a few hours. Got home
and put in one hour of being fresh meat near the end of the contest. I had a
better rate running 100W to my balcony dipole in CO than I did running a KW to
Yagis from VA at the start of the contest. As with any contest, location
matters. :-)
