Comments:
This was a part time effort with Saturday being taken up with wife's birthday
party which really cut into my time. However this was a shake down trial for my
new FTDX-5000 which I got two days before the test.... had to get it all set up
and working with Writelog. I had to deal with several issues but I am really
impressed over all with this rig. My 2000D was a great rig and much easier to
work with but the 5000 is way over and above it... just a learning curve to
work with. I did an all band low power just to see how it held up and I give it
a gold star and a blue ribbon. Most of the activity was S+P and point/click from
the cluster. Still hampered from tribander stuck north east and 160 loop did not
work well at all on 80 CW. Lot of fun... thanks for all the qso's... 73's Cort
