Comments:
My second attempt at a QRP contest. Went 40m SB since we had things to do this
weekend leaving me only the evenings. Thanks to those who heard "AA"
and kept after it. No thanks to those who went "AA?" then called CQ
in my face! Although I was happy with the results, 5 watts just cannot
overcome propagation and distance. I called TF3, 3B9, VK6, VY1, ZL7, and
especially CX1AA until I was blue in the face with not even a "AA?".
I kept ZD8W in VFO B and must have jumped over to call him easily 40 different
times before finally getting him. QRP as I have experienced it is either a
completely clear calling frequency and a VERY capable op on the other side, or
VERY favorable conditions at THAT MOMENT to be heard. And tremendous patience.
Lots and LOTS of patience.
