Comments:
Well, the bands are suddenly very quiet. If some alien had been watching our
spectrum they must be assuming some cataclysmic event suddenly wiped out all
life on Earth.
My QRN problem returned with vengeance. It's been reasonably quiet for several
months. 80 had S9 noise pretty much full time. S6 on all other bands .. even 10
meters. Despite that it was a fun time. This may be my first time over 2000 QSOs
in a weekend. I think that's not bad considering poor propagation and the noise
issue. Virtually zero EU. Maybe one or two: TF3, OH0 only. Best DX must be ZD8
on 10 meters this morning. Oliver, W6NV was the op and he tried to move me to
15 but really tough copy right at the noise level. I apologize for being an
alligator. I suspect an electric fence somewhere north of here.
Thanks to the spotters. Except the one who spotted me as KH7TU this morning. I
had a mild mannered run going on 20, then all hell broke loose. Many dupes.
Much wasted time. It took an hour before that settled down. Amazing how many of
the "big boys" simply pounced on the packet spot without listening. I
was sending my call after EVERY QSO during that period. Maybe I should have
moved.
