Despite relatively poor HF band conditions, the contest seemed to draw many hams
onto the bands for some fun. Even made some contacts on 10 meters on Saturday.
Rig was a Kenwood TS-590SG running about 500 Watts from an AL-80B amplifier into
a Force-12 C31-XR triband Yagi at 60 feet. Only operated 20, 15 and 10 meters.
Only wish I had antennas for 160 through 40 meters. Maybe next year! The
bottom line is that DX contests are lots of fun.
