Generally very poor conditions (A = 16 to 24)but some intense one-hop sporadic-E
kept things interesting. No Europe worked from this location however did work
stations in SA, Africa and Oceania. Most stations in the Caribbean area were
not strong.
The most surprising QSO occurred when working an intense sporadic-E opening on
SSB on Saturday (2000z) between W2 and W9/W0. Signals were S9+ and VK2NSS
broke the pileup and said I was S7 on the meter in NSW. He was S8 on the S
meter here.
I had great fun working the radio on a snowy weekend. Thanks to all the great
ops that hung in there with the poor conditions.
Station: K3, KW amp, GHE controls, N1MM+, 6 el homebrew yagi @ 106 ft and
Skyhawk tri-band yagi @ 80 ft.
