Death Valley campground operation. Battery powered 100 W K3 to vertical half
wave wire, fishing pole support. About 200 feet below sea level.
Only a couple hours of operation. Considering conditions, location, and
antenna, it's a wonder anyone heard me at all. Some of the stronest signals
were from SA, as expected. I think I got on too late for the Sat. Es openings.
