Comments:
Missed the dupes memo tonight -- only 3 of my QSO's are dupes! Heard K9BGL on
20m but no luck working anyone.
160 antenna is not working; tried loading the 40m DE Zepp but no one could hear
me.
The ladder is on the near horizon . . 7 weeks starting January 12/13 with 4
weeks counting toward final score.
Have a safe and fun new year's eve. We are staying home, so will be jumping
into SKN over the weekend using my beer-can straight key some of the time, and
the Lennart-Petterssonn key the rest of the time. I'm not sure that the $200
L-P is any better than the version made from the beer can (or soft drink can if
you prefer), but I feel obligated to use it after winning the thing at a Visalia
FOC dinner quite a few years ago. I'm not an FOC member, but was invited as a
guest of college friend K6DDO and walked out with the grand prize.
