Comments:
Conditions and activity were pretty good, but this was my worst outing in a
January event since I began contesting. After the first hour, a migraine
headache knocked me out of the saddle for a while, and when I got back in, I
limited my effort to S&P. The brain just wouldn't click in Running Mode.
In the evening, 40 and 80m were good, and 160 was building with activity with
two hours to go. BUT, unusual for January in SW New Mexico lightning
accompanied two rain squalls that turned to snowfall late at night. I had to
disconnect everything for safety's sake. (Sunday's sunrise revealed a couple of
inches of snow, and the creek in the canyon was running full--the first time
we've ever seen that in January).
Many thanks to Larry, NN5O, for the invitation to join a team! My apologies
for poor production...
