Operated QRP Portable from SOTA summit W7A/MN-143, Scarlet Mtn, DM33.
Station: FT817 barefoot to a 3 ele 6M yagi, a 4 ele 2M yagi, and a 5 ele 70cm
Quagi on a 10 ft mast. Threw in a few HT's for fun also.
Conditions were flat on 6M...no DX. Best contacts from the mountain were with
DM42 (Tucson), DM34 (Prescott), and DM23 (...all on 432 SSB. Had a great time
operating the contest and activating a SOTA summit simultaneously.
A special thanks to the Rovers...without their efforts this contest would have
been very quiet.
