That was fun! I had planned on putting in just a few hours, but the bands were
good, and the station and antennas were performing well, so I decided to enjoy
the ride. High points: 160M was better than expected, and I was able to pick
up some mults there in less time than I usually would spend there. On 80M, I
cranked the power down to 5W to tune my antenna, and called G5W without
realizing that I hadn't cranked the power back up. Unbelievably, he got my
call correct! 10M was full of surprises as well. It seemed like the band could
have provided a lot more QSOs if more stations spent time there. Low point:
Callsign ID reared its ugly head once again. If stations like CT9/UA9CDC, ID
every time and still maintain a decent rate, then there is no excuse for anyone
else to not regularly ID.
