Listened for a few minutes Friday evening. Very noisy conditions and then
My transmit antenna crapped out. Went to bed. Repaired antenna
On Saturday and went back to contest about 10pm. As the song
Goes, what a difference a day makes. Found a spot around 1.914
And called CQ. For the next 2 hours, it was fast and furious.
Interestingly, the only receiving antenna that performed was
The euro facing pennant. The other antennas including the transmit
Vertical were really noisy. Elecraft K3, ACOM 2000, 70 foot
Tall vertical over salt water. Thanks to all and sorry I was
Unable to pull a few of you out.
