Comments:

Wow, this was tough. Band conditions were so bad that we thought we had a bad
coax out to the tower! After the coax checked out OK, we kept slogging onward.
Aside from 3-4 very short runs, our entire effort was S&P. We actually
spun the big knob quite a bit looking for new stations, and spotted what we
found.

10 and 15 were surprisingly good to the Caribbean and the Americas. 80 and 160
were quiet so we heard very well, but nobody could hear us. EU was not loud,
and it seemed like most DL, UA, and Scandinavian stations were on vacation. We
only heard a very few stations S9 or above all weekend. We made so many repeat
calls and fills that it felt like we were QRP.

We repaired the 160 inv-L with a new horizontal leg, and re-tuned the 80m
vertical before the contest. Aside from two relays that stuck in our 10 degree
F weather, the station worked flawlessly all weekend.
