Comments:
Thanks for the Qs. I decided to run a little bit with the NN5O call tonight at
36 wpm, just to get some Qs in the book. Then, I wanted to switch over and use
our brand new club call for the Deep Dixie Contest Club (KD5DD) for a while. We
just got the call sign given to us this week, so it's brand-spankin' new.
I hope all of you have a spectacular week. And, let's hope all the storms go
away.
By the way, as one who calls Starkville, MS my home, having grown up there,
taught school there, then retired from MS State Univ in Dec. 2000, I am
thrilled and supremely proud of our MSU Ladies Basketball team. They beat 3 #1
seeded teams in the NCAA Sweet Sixteen, then Elite Eight, then ended UConn's
111-game winning streak in the Final Four. But, our girls were just worn
completely out by the time they played South Carolina in the final game and
lost by a few points. But, they are true winners in our hearts. Real classy
girls on that team and Vic Shaefer is certainly one of the very best coaches in
the USA!
'Praise the Lord and Go Dawgs'!!
(Oh yeah, John McVey, K4AFE, grew up just 2 doors away from me, right on the
South edge of the MS State campus, so he's a proud MSU Bulldog, too!)
73,
