Comments:
I have never participated much in the NEQP. This is my largest effort to date.
One thing that turns me off is all the QPs on Saturday. To me that's just a
mess. The DEQP doesn't get in the way much, although it's fun to work all three
counties. Indiana is my home state, so I should show more interest but I don't.
I wish the NEQP and 7QP could agree on the order of the state and county info.
State then county makes more sense to me: MAMID, CTMID, etc.
This isn't a big deal, but since it isn't, it seems all the more reasonable
that the two groups could agree on a common format. C'mon, guys.
When I do operate, I do the ARI on Saturday, usually RTTY, and the NEQP on
Sunday, usually CW on the low bands. I'll never be in the top scoring tier
that way, but that's not my goal.
It is fun to be sought after, although Middlesex, MA, is one of the least rare
New England counties.
My time on is a popular number with Southwest Airlines.
Thanks for the QSOs. See you in the CQ-WPX-CW.
