Testing a quarter-wave half-sloper on the roof of the SIU engineering building.
That design worked well at the club station of the University of Chicago,
N9UC.
For whatever reason, at SIU it was like fly fishing with the wrong fly when a
hatch is on - some strong stations (not all of them!) would CQ in my face.
Were
condx worse than usual? Sure seemed so. Gotta get antenna working for the
Solar Eclipse QSO Party!
