Comments:
Just working from home station and handing out 1D to field operations. I worked
many impressive battery, solar, and QRP stations out in the field - without the
beam antenna, probably wouldn't have worked them.
I favored SSB over CW this year as many of the CW operators were fumbling
around having difficulty getting their information correct. In addtion, I asked
that the 1D stations not work me so I could concentrate on the field operations
- to no avail - they kept calling even though I explicitly asked them not
to...oh, well.
This is a great contest and it's always a pleasure to work many new hams and
interesting field configurations. I averaged around 130 QSOs per hour - not
bad.
