Field day in the back yard. Saturday afternoon I pulled my N0AX clone (QST
article in 2015) dipole up into my big maple tree in the back yard. It is about
82 ft fed thru a 450 ohm ladder line transformer by RG-8X. It loads without a
tuner on 20, 15 and 6 and the other bands with a tuner, though I haven't tried
it on 160 or 60 meters. Station was a KX-3, Microham keyer, and an Acer netbook
computer all battery powered with a Bienno LiPo battery. Storms forced me to
shut down and take everything inside a couple of times Saturday evening. Temp
got down into the low 50s late Saturday. Coolest FD I can ever remember here in
WI. As always good activity. Hope everyone had fun
