Comments:

Very very slow for the first 8 hours. Almost nil. Got better once the crowd
moved to 40 meters and my small signal could rise above the noise floor. Ran a
lot on SSB but not spotted, so slow. Finally had a good run on 20M SSB with a
couple ZLs calling in. Enjoy S&P on CW but not running. I realize that
running there would get me the spots.

At a new QTH since house I operate from was sold unexpectedly last month.
Antenna on someone else's property so kept simple. 20M - 10M Spider beam at 4
meters high. Off centered dipole also only 4 meters up. Running 300-500
watts. Was mostly pointed to USA with occasional EU. Too rainy and windy to
go out in the tall grass to keep turning the antenna. EU did not seem to hear
me anyway except the HQ stations.
A lot of work for the small number of Q's but fun and hopefully surprised a few
ops with an FP QSO.

73, Eric FP/KV1J
