Comments:
Just a mile up the hill from the home QTH, on the highest spot in this part of
town. Ground level is a good 30 meters higher than the TOP of my tower. My
best QRP score so far, by a small margin. I did seem to be getting out pretty
well. Some QLF moments with the new KX2 didn't help. Logged with a netbook,
though it won't do rig control. The KX2 is, of course, a huge improvement over
the KX1, though at a price in weight and cost. It does behave like a
"real" radio, the receiver sounding almost as good as a K3.
Conditions seemed reasonably good, with a couple EU stations on 20, though RM2D
couldn't hear me.
Thanks for the QSO's!
73,
Scott K9MA
