SO2V operation with separate instances of MMTTY and 2Tone on each receiver.
A last hour switch in plans. I had planned to do a SOSB(A)40HP. But when I
found out the Mexico and Caribbean emergency ssb nets were to be on 7045, 7060,
7075, 7090 kHz, I figured I didn't want to play the "dodge the net"
game (giving them adequate room around each freq) for two nights. In the heat
of competition, I am not good at that. Not having the full weekend available, I
decided on a SOSB(A)20HP instead.
Twenty had some excellent moments, solar indices considered, and some not so
excellent. At one time. I linked both receivers (SO2V here) and had four
different decoder profiles going on my frequency, just to try and get some
intelligence from all the flutter and multipath. Challenging to say the least.
My continental breakdown looks like:
North America - 631 qso's
South America - 24
Europe - 230
Asia - 262
Africa - 9
Oceania - 19
Last time I did a SOSB(A)20HP in CQWW RTTY was 2010. Similar continental
breakdown but better cndx then and more Eu stations for more qso points, seven
more mults for 52K more final claimed points in 2010. The 2010 score stands as
the 7th area record for that category. I didn't come close to breaking it this
year.
Next up here will be our usual ssb gang for N7AT M/2 fun in CQWW SSB, Oct
28-29. CU then.
