Comments:
The bands were nice and quiet and I thought things were going great until I
looked at the score. My mults were lower than last year when I ran LP. QSOs
were higher as expected with more power but the mults dropping so much seems
strange. Sunday afternoon had strange flutter into zone 14 and then then 15
faded. Strong signals remained on 20. 10 was only open to 6 - 13 from here.
This was the first test of my new M2 40 and I probably spent too much time on
40 playing with it but it sure did well. I've still got to pull down the old
KLM 40 that got damaged in Hurricane Harvey but all the new antennas made it
fine.
I quit early for this because we seem to run out of any kind of rate at all so
I thought I'd win back a couple of brownie points with my XYL by getting home
earlier than expected...especially since I'm going to play in the ARRL160 next
weekend. Quite a balancing act. ;-)
By the way, there sure were a lot of stations with clicks. Not sure if that is
different from the past or it was so quiet I just heard more of them.
Thanks for the Qs.
73,
Bob K5WA
