Comments:
That went better than expected. We had a couple of good runs and the result was
positive surprise. A decent SP opening on 15 m to Europe on Saturday. 80 m and
160 m conditions were good. We could hear the whole world on 160 m but the
world did not hear us. The 80 m result could have been better but we had strong
static crashes here making receiving difficult. EU on 40 m seems to get more and
more deaf especially in their evenings. Loud signals but everyone seems to be
deaf. We assume the band is packed = QRM plus local noise in their evenings
make receiving difficult. Short path into EU at their mornings is much more
efficient. 10 m had only a glimpse of live on day one but an opening into
central & NA on day two.
The automation and set up was new to all of us and will take some time to get
familiar with. But everything worked like a charm with neglect able
interference.
We only have two operation positions here with no separate multiplier station.
It was first one in having all three WRTC2018 participants from ZL working a
contest together. Good Fun!
Thanks for the contacts from the whole team
