Comments:
Pretty rough going up here. At the start of the contest the k at the Swedish
magnetometer was 7 which is a pretty good reflection of conditions in Alberta.
For the first few hours I had to work Caribbean, Central and South American
stations on a skewed path beaming northeast. Could not hear much of anything
beaming south. European QSOs were all S&P, could never get a run going
during the weekend. Condx were rather poor for the Saturday morning long path
and afternoon/evening openings to Eu. The band improved by Sunday morning with
decent longpath and SE Asia but too late by then.
As always Don was a great host trying to keep my spirits high through the poor
condx.
Equipment: ICOM 756 ProII, homebrew amp. Two 5 ele yagis on 150 ft towers, 3
ele yagi at 120 ft and a log at 120 feet.
