Comments:

Icom 706MK2G,Heil Pro-Micro Headset,Vectronics HFT-1500 Manual Tuner,(a real
rate buster!),ZS6BKW dipole up 50 feet running N-S at 6,053 feet elevation.S-6
QRN on 80 and 40, maybe snow static? Rapid QSB on 20.Never heard a soul on 10 or
160. Alaska and Hawaii worked along with a few VE-s but no real DX at all. I
exceeded 100 a few times during some brief runs, which is always a kick. The
usual suspects hurting my rate with all of the time wasting "please
copy" and Thanks for Wyoming" jazz.(If you really want to thank me for
the Wyoming multiplier, then please do so by giving ONLY name and 2 letter
state,unless I ask for fills!(I'm not kidding, so I won't type Hi-Hi here). No
haters, but got book ended with QRM while running several times. It really felt
like I had put a pillow over my rig for a good part of this contest, and several
fills were needed. Thanks to the Grand Mesa Club for letting me play yet again on
a "Big Boy" team with my 90 watts and a single wire antenna.Another
"Boy and His Wire" effort is in the books, and I did manage to better
my last years effort using my mobile rig and a manual tuner from my apartment
QTH. I would like to dedicate this effort to my 28 year old son,Alex who is
serving on his 5th US Air Force tour of duty in Afghanistan with 9 years of
Active Duty time.
