Comments:
After too many years of inefficiently loading a 40 meter beam on 160 - I FINALLY
hung an inverted L and built a W0UCE / K2AV FCP! With the L length at 155 feet
and an isolation transformer, the antenna L matches perfectly without any
matchbox or ATU.
Used 100 watts for first evening, i.e. 300 QSO's.
Then changed feed line to high power coax - and switched to high power for
another 200 QSO's on second night.
Tested the new antenna by comparing to bigger set-ups. Listened to K0RF
running. He's 100 miles north of me. With his 4 square - he was running EU
stations that I couldn't hear (or even see any trace of on P3 scope).
Now its time to add a receive antenna.
