Comments:
Spent most of weekend on daughter's high school graduation festivities, and
operated in the "cracks" between cake eating and partying. Started
late Friday and went until 3 AM. Made 80% of QSOs on first night, with some good
runs on 20 and 40 and lots of fun. Almost all JAs. Saturday prop. very poor here
on 20. Got too tired Sat. night and went to sleep before 40 opened. Sunday still
poor on 20, but 15 opened up in final hours but not many stations. Was using
old IC-746 because new 7610 still getting repaired. Lots of problems with
strong stations causing de-sense and spurious modulation products. Had to run
with attenuator much of the time; possibly a component is failing... seemed
worse than I remembered. Antennas: HF2V on 40 and low roof-mounted KT34A on
20/15/10. Running 1KW.
