Comments:
Much better conditions than I expected. Missed the first 5 hours - took my
great-grandson to the Louisville Slugger factory and then to the NASCAR race at
Kentucky speedway. Got back to the hotel shortly after midnight. The contest
was 2 hours old when we left the hotel to drive home (about 2.5 hours). Got
everything hooked up and was on the air and made the first contact at 16:48.
Mostly a S&P contest with a few short runs. Bands were better than I
expected which kept me in the seat much longer than I had planned.
Fun to work the WRTC guys on 20 and 40. Some really good ops.
