Comments:
Current conditions don't make contesting with low antennas and low power such a
wonderful experience. I started out intending to do a low power entry, but at
three hours in the frustration of not being heard by the few EU stations I could
hear overcame idealism and the amplifier came on line. The extra 7 dB helped
noticeably, but it was still an uphill battle.
20 came up late here but remained in pretty good shape well into the night. I
had a couple of hours of good run from about 0000Z to 0200Z. Didn't hear any of
the WRTC stations until after 2200, and the few that came through were pretty
hard to hear.
40 seemed to be quite good to EU from about 0300 on, with many strong signals.
The few WRTC stations worked were quite weak on 40 as well.
This one was pretty hard work for just 660 QSOs, but maybe next year will be
better. It would have been nice to work more of the WRTC competitors, but it was
what it was. See y'all in next year's running.
