Comments:
Great fun, as always, and the activity and Bands could not have been much better
here. I had to do some emergency antenna repair just before the contest, and my
power supply dropped dead at around 0115Z. At that time, I was in one of the
best RUNs of the night. Luckily I had brought a replacement Astron supply to the
QTH just the day before this contest (I knew my old one had been starting to
struggle).
The daytime hours were not great for me (as always, with my wire antennas), but
40, 80, and 160 were just great here at night. No matter how long I called CQ on
40, it was never more than about 3 calls to get a contact, and usually better.
I always enjoy this contest, with the reduced power levels. I was a bit short of
my goals for QSOs and points, so some disappointment in what I gave to my Team.
Hoping for better luck next time.
